“Before adding my daughter to Hart Academy she was struggling in school and her love for learning was gone. Hart Academy has infused my daughter with joy in learning once again! She comes home daily and is excited about all that she has learned and will be learning! Our days of fighting her to go to school have ended. The school is small and with it’s traditional infused Montessori approach type learning, it has given my daughter leadership skills and an opportunity to learn in a multi-faucet approach. “When we began trying to homeschool my son at age 4/5 we quickly realized how overwhelming the process could be. We needed some helpful guidance without sticking him into the public school system. Hart Academy has been the biggest blessing! Not only has my son improved drastically in his academic skills, but he also had his language skills develop much faster than I thought possible. The teachers truly care about the kids, and the kids really enjoy their teachers. My son is an only child who bonds to other kids really fast, but at Hart Academy, all the kids bond so well that they become like a big gang of brothers and sisters that like to help lift each other up. Bullying is not something that we have to worry about with this program, nor do we have to worry about our kiddo slipping through the cracks due to an overwhelming student teacher ratio. “As we sat on another CCSD school meeting, we realized that public school education was a big disappointment. We thought our children were taught and learned well at a Montessori style public but boy were we wrong about that!
We knew we wanted to try a homeschooling approach, but we also knew that a small pod would better support our children’s need for social relationship and more hands-on learning. Hart Academy offers a relational teaching approach.
We love the small class ratio, morning devotion, and The Good and Beautiful Curriculum used.
We also knew that we wanted teachers that we can trust to show our children where to look, but not tell them what to see. That was exactly what Miss Gabby and Lawren did.
Miss Gabby took her time to build trust and relationships with our children (age 6&10). Now both of our children are not just thriving in their reading, writing, and math but soaring well in their education and are genuinely happy being taught by Miss Gabby and Miss Lawren. My children are happy being surrounded by friends that love and care on each other.
